Comments, suggestions, and questions

First, I am a Luger newbie. I would occasionally lurk on the old board and really enjoyed and appreciated the wealth of knowledge and willingness to share that with others.

Now that I am over here, I have to say, it looks great! The word that comes to mind is "roomy." I'm looking forward to spending more time with you guys in the future.

I wonder if it would be possible to have more gun related avitars? I couldn't relate to a lot of the cartoon characters (although I'm pretty satisfied with the one I chose). I think it would really nice to have a pictures section (as opposed to posting individual pictures), too. That was one of my favorite aspects of the old board - all those beautiful pictures.

Maybe eventually we will be able to use one of our Lugers as an icon.

That would be great, but I would still vote for an area where we could see the Luger of the month, and all the other cool luger pictures we used to peruse (like Ted's handiwork!). Some other forums have a front page that lets you go to several places, one of which is the forum itself. Maybe we could do something like that here. For example a picture gallery, history articles, tech articles (like Ted's for replacing the main spring), vendors, etc.

How about it?
