COLLECTIBLES INSURANCE AGENCY
Has anyone had any experience with this company?
I called them with an arbitrary number of $55,000.00 coverage( I used an average price of $1,500.00 per gun @ a little over 35 guns). It costs $211.00 a year, and includes comprehensive coverage, from fire to theft. They advertise in the GunList. Seems like a good deal. <img src="graemlins/wave.gif" border="0" alt="[byebye]" /> <img src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" border="0" alt="[offtopic]" /> [img]biggrin.gif[/img] |

Lugerlvr,
I have a friend who has his firearms insurance with this company and he has been pleased with their rates. So far he has not had a claim, and I hope he doesn't, but this is where you know if they are good or not. From what I have read, they are good and the cost of the insurance is far less than most homeowners policys. Marvin |

They have a website, and I went there to look.
http://www.collectinsure.com/guns.htm They do all kinds of antiques, collectables, etc. They sound pretty good and I left a voice mail for information that will be sent to me via e-mail. Overall, unless I hear otherwise, this is something I have worried about for a while and sounds pretty reasonable and good to know.

Hello Tim,
Another firm to consider is : http://www.historicfirearms.com/digitize.htm I use them and they let you add coverage as your collection grows... Also, your guns are insured if you travel with them and not just in your home... <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" /> |

Guys;
Be sure to check on their requirements. I had my guns insured thru a company as a NRA member, and when the total value reached a certain limit, they required me to install a home alarm system that met their requirements or they would cancel my policy. <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" />
