Post My Little Swiss Family...

Well, after 6 months of getting the luger bug and a really bad Swiss infection, here are some of the results of my efforts :

1. V. Bobba's great book on Swiss luger variations. A must read !

2. My 1924 Swiss W+F Bern, .30 cal, 4-3/4" bbl.

3. My 1929 Swiss W+F Bern, .30 cal, 4-3/4" bbl.

4. A 1930's era Swiss brass cleaning kit (aka " Puttzueg").

5. A 1942 Swiss holster and shoulder strap.

(Got to work on that blue hue saturation problem...)

Thanks to all on this Forum who helped guide me to this fascination with all things Swiss !!! <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" />

A very nice pair of Lugers and accessories indeed. While both are praiseworthy, I especially like the bottom Luger; primarily because the grip seems more symetrical. Regardless, the long, slender barrels of the early .30 caliber Lugers are graceful and much more pleasing to my eye than any other model.

Thanks all !!! It was really fun realizing I had a start of a Swiss collection...

I know I have a few more Swiss lugers to add before I am done :

1. 1900 DWM Swiss
2. 1906 DWM Swiss w/sunburst-cross
3. 1906 DWM Swiss w/shield-cross
4. 1929 W+F Bern w/ brown grips and magazine
5. 1929 W+F Bern w/black grips and magazine
6. 1934 Mauser Swiss
