HI,JUST PICKED THIS UP AND IT HAS 1918 AND RIGHT ABOVE THAT IS S.P. DOSE ANY ONE KNOW WHAT THAT MEENS?

HI,EVERY NUMBER MATCHES EXCEPT THE EXTRACTER IT HAS 24 I NEED o1 DOES THIS MAKE IT A SHOOTER OR CAN I FIND A 01 SO IT WILL MATCH? OR DONT WORY ABOUGHT IT?

Hi Chuck, mismatched Lugers fall out of the 'collector' class but that doesn't make them undesirable. There are many folks who advertise for matching numbered parts (but this doesn't make the gun 'original'). There is always controversy regarding the practice of matching parts to a gun since much of the history is lost when this occurs and of course there is the $$$ side of the issue as well. An all matched original Luger is worth considerably more than one that has mismatched parts or has been 'matched' after the fact. Often there are ways to tell if the part is original and sometimes there are not. If you bought the gun to shoot then I wouldn't worry about the extractor number (many were replaced due to breakage). If you bought it as a collector piece (and you will know based on what you paid for it) then you should know that it is not really sought after by collectors with a non- matching part. Since it is in the artillery section I assume it is an artillery. Can you post a picture of it? <img src="graemlins/a_smil17.gif" border="0" alt="[blabla]" />

HI,BILL I CANT POST ANY YET BUT I WILL SOON.SO WHAT IS A ARTILLERY LUGER IN SHOOTIG CONDITION WORTH? IT IS A 7 FROM 1-10 ITS IN FAIR CONDITION THERE IS SOME PITTING ON SOME PLACES BUT REALY TO ME ITS NICE.THE LUGER CAME BACK THIS WAY WITH THE DIFFERENT NUMBERS. THEY FIXED THEM WHEN THEY BROKE ON THE ROAD.THE STRAW IS 10% . THANKS [img]smile.gif[/img]
