Post OGCA Milan Show Cancelation

Today I heard that all future Ohio Gun Collector Assn (OGCA) shows will be cancelled. The announcement was announced at the May 22-23 on Sunday. The announcement was that it was not for political reasons but rather for economic reasons. The last show had a poor attendance, probably because of the bad weather. I am going to miss this show because it is so close to the Detroit area and because I could usually find a nice Luger there if I looked hard enough.

The OGCA had a hard time after Cleveland annexed the IX Center and broke the OGCA's lease because it could not find a location big enough. The IX Center was great for a big gun show. But Cleveland is a big anti gun city.

Just so you know, it is only the show in Milan that was cancelled until another appropriate location can be found. The OGCA Wilmington show will still go on and Milan show dates will go on as scheduled only in Wilmington. The announcement on that Sunday only validated the cancelling of the Milan show only , not all the shows such as you have indicated. A simple call to the OGCA office can verify what I have stated. Thank you

Sam,
You are correct. I typed my message wrong. My title was correct but the rest of it was dumb. I have since checked the OGCA web site at:

www.ogca.com.

My mistake. But no mention was made of them looking someplace else in Northern Ohio when I looked last. I'll look again. Thanks for telling me about dates that were scheduled at the Milan will now be held in Southern Ohio at Wilmington. It'll be a long drive for both of us. Maybe I'll see you there July 10th. Gotta fix my motor home first.

FYI, New OGCA dates are as follows:
July 10-11 2004
October 2-3, 2004
November 6-7, 2004
January 8-9, 2005
March 12-13, 2005
All future shows to be held in Roberts Centre in Willimgton, Ohio.
The flyer stated that the site search comitee would remain active.
Have a nice day!
Tom
