Default Is it possible to repair this grip ?

1911 Erfurt, is it possible to repair this type of chip ? Not necessarily undetectably, but blended in inconspicuously without touching the rest of the grip which matches the character of the gun. The grip is numbered to the gun.

I've read it might be worth trying to contact Jim Solomon ?
