Post Luger repair needed

I just bought a Luger and the little "U" shaped piece for the lanyard is missing, one hole where it was is clean, the other has the broken nub just inside the hole, what can be done with this? and can a new "U" piece be found?

Yes, even though this part is not normally removed even during refinishing, the "lanyard loop" can be replaced, or if the gun is just a shooter and not a collectable you can have the holes filled and then filed and polished flush with the grip frame...

Tom Heller (lugerdoc) probably has a couple of these loops in his parts inventory...
