Need to ID strange Luger Carbine

Need help to ID strange Luger Carbine. Any books written on those? Thank You.

It looks like Martz Luger. But not marked ANYWHERE.

It might be a Martz, but there have been several post-war carbines made by folks. The barrel is 16 inches which makes it legal. It looks like it has WW1 markings on the right, close ups would help, as would the top of the carbine, with the toggle showing and any dates or possible dates.

Eugene made me a 'G' date fantasy piece, I unfortunately had to sell it to afford to buy a rare Simson.

Its marked 1916. Have no idea who made it.

Alex, Looks like a real beauty. Seems really well done. No stock? marked 1916 it started life as a military not any kind of commercial like regular carbines were. Have you shot it?

I shot this 5 shot group , standing at 25 yards. Very good shooter. No stock. But I think stock can be found or made (?).

Whoever constructed it knew what he was doing and did a fine job, but doubt that it is a Martz. If his, it will have his JVM in an oval on the frame under the sideplate. Nice gun.

Alex, Yes, carbine stocks are everywhere these days. Trouble would be finding one to match your pistols quality. It looks to be a real treasure. Take some time and find a nice stock to go with it. What a shooter that would make!

Since I probably will never find out who build this gun , at least I would like to get a decent stock that would really compliment it . My experience with Lugers is VERY limited , especially with custom Lugers. But this one does seem nice.

What I dont understand is what is the difference between 1920 Luger Carbines and Martz Luger Carbine?

Are there any markings on the underside barrel. Where and what is the serial number? Is "GERMANY' marked anywhere? Pretty Gun, most likely custom~

Thank You. It is nice and its a mystery gun in a way. I tried looking for any kind of markings , but no luck. Serial number is on the left side

Looks good. Since I will never get the stock that is original to the gun ( dont even know who made the gun ) , this stock will work fine. I check it out.
