Cleaning and Oiling??
What kind of gun oil do you guys use most or like best for lugers. I am on the verge of my first purchase and was wondering. I must admit for my other pistols ( S&w ) and ( USFA ) i use the tried and true Hopps, its cheap and works good, at least i think so. I am going for a imperial era gun and just wanted to make sure there is nothing special i need in the way of oil and cleaning. Thanks. and ill say it again, this is a great board.

lugers are no different than other guns. I generally use Hoppes and/or army CLP. I usually want just a nice protective film on it. I have friends that clean them throughly, then use a degreaser and coat them with wax (carnuba I think), they have an oiled look, but can be handled and it comes off without any damage.
