These would now be considered antiques. I guess you can now sell them to me without an FFL or FCL. Even though I have an FFL, occassionally at a show, some "ferener" (German, Canadian, etc) wants to purchase a luger. As far as I can tell, the sale of one over 100 years old, would be legal without the Federal paper work. TH

I am under the impression that to qualify as an antique per BATFE rules, the gun must be manufactured prior to 1898. So even if a gun is 100 years old, it still is not considered an antique. This applies to manufacture year, not model year so a C96 Conehammer is considered an antique, but a C96 Red-9 is not and requires Federal paperwork.

It is obvious that George's guns are old soldiers...not only do they look great, they still know how to stand formation

George, are these ALL first issue militaries? I imagine so as there are no dates on the receivers. Would like to see the unit markings, if they have them, also the acceptance marks on the receiver, and of course, the magazine bottoms to see if they have the large number fonts of the early P08's. A great group of centenarians, George. Thanks for sharing. I hope posting the requested views will not be too taxing, after all, you have tantalized us with these "gems"!

Buster, I'm afraid I stretched it a bit. The first one on the left is an '08 commercial military. Except for that one they are all property marked with one marked to an individual. The oldest is 1597 its stamps are C/E, C/E. The others are in the a block and are stamped C/E, C/Z. I will post photos of the unit marks and mags on my original posting.
