Default 1900 American Eagle

If anyone has one of these in the serial range of 18000-19000 I would be interested in what type of front sight that it has. I have seen 3 now that have the ivory bead sight all within 600-700(181XX-187XX). makes me think that the same importer sold these. Steve

Default Re: 1900 American Eagle

I have data on 36 pistols in the 18000/19000 range and non-standard sights are not mentioned on any of them. There are other pistols that are noted with non-standard front sights such as Marbles and King. The US shooter was never particularily fond of the standard German sights.

One thing that is noted in this range is several pistols with the last three digits of the serial number on the sideplate and rear toggle link.
