Post O.T.-Need Information on Mauser Pen Pistol

Can anyone tell me anything about a pen pistol manufactured by Mauser? Caliber is .32. Pics are not yet available, but I may be able to post some later.

This is a pen pistol that was shown AOL's Guntalk Library. It appears to only fire blanks, but the caliber is 32 and it is made in Germany or so the description says. It appears to fire out the top with no barrel persay so I sure it is not what you are talking about, but interesting. This is the quote from Guntalk:
This "Pencil Gun" was given to me a long time ago. The cap screws off to allow a .32 cal. blank to be inserted. It came in its original box, with directions, and with blank and "gas cartridges." The only marking is "GERMANY" on the writing end. Any info (date, manufacturer, value) would be helpful.

I sure wouldn't want to fire that with a live .32 caliber cartridge... the recoil would probably rip your hand open and impail the pen at what ever the the sharp end was pointed !

There is a pen gun of US manufacture current. I had one. It is chambered for 25 ACP, has a screw barrel action. Made of stainless. Looks more like a tire gauge than a pen. It avoids the technicalties regarding pen guns in the federal law by folding into something resembling barrel and grip at the standard pistol angle before it can be fired. I fired it a few times. Workable, but not really fun to shoot. Sold it off, as it was more or less a toy, and not a fun toy like my 32 ACP Erma. I have a Kal-Tech 32 ACP for a mouse gun carry piece. Run to 40 S&W or 44 Special where concealability is less of an issue.

Hey Noel,

Tim here! These guns were produced by American Derringer Corp. I had one in .22 cal. I liked it, wish I still had it, but you are right it was just a toy. Humm....Mabey i'll get another one just for kicks?
