holster questions
Hi Edward...
I have a similar holster, brown leather. Can't make out much of the stamping...looks like a "1939" and I can see a waffenamp? mark below the date. She's a little rough..obviously seen service. If I get some pix, could you help me with a value? Due to economic times I may be forced to sell it along with my refinished (by Thor I believe) 1936 shooter. Hmm I see partial lettering on re-examination.. "AUTZ" above the date... Maybe RAUTZ? BAUTZ? And all the lettering appears straight across... no curving stamps. OK E.G. Leuner Bautzen 1939 I believe. I would suggest you start a new thread and add the pics for the best responses.

yes, posting into another thread just gets confusing; I did not even notice that you had done so.
Made a new thread and made sure that you will get emailed if any responses. But pictures and price are needed for the for sale section. Ed

I have an album up. I assume you guys can see that? Pix of pistol and holster. Thanks for the patience- as far as price... I have no idea what the holster is worth. So, I guess I'll have to wait to find out.

Dave,
A link to Rich's album. http://forum.lugerforum.com/album.php?albumid=259 Rich, The holster is in pretty rough condition. I would guess in the $150 range , give or take. The Luger looks to be pretty nice, if it isn't refinished. Hard to tell from the photos, but it looks almost too good. Roughly $1500-$1700 if it has original finish. Around $800-$900, if it's refinished, in todays slow market. I've seen Lugers that would have sold for $2000+ two years ago, selling for $1400-$1500 now. The current economy has brought prices down. Ron

Hi Rich, Ron is right the holster is in sad shape. The good news is that the gun looks great. If that magazine with the aluminum base has a matching number it could be worth closer to $2,500. Regards, Norm

Hey Rich,
Kind of the long way around, but we finally figured it out. Best of Luck with it... Ron
