Default research a luger

I have a Mauser Parabellum, Cal 30, Serial number 10001492 and want to know more about it.

Where do I start?

Well, not here on the FOR SALE forum.
If you scroll up the line a bit there are a few other spots you could try. I would suggest the "ALL P08 COMMERCIAL LUGERS" forum.

Hi,

Your pistol is a post war Mauser Parabellum, made by Mauser for Interarms.

Your pistol was part of the first shipment from Mauser to Interarms and was sent on the 29th of January, 1971. (crate #14).

The serial number is mentioned in our book 'The Parabellum Is Back! 1945-2000'.

John, now there's a thought. There is a good chance that we may actually be able to identify the boat it came on

We do know that security wasn't at it's best. 5 pistols were stolen from the first shipment.

LOL. We do know the serial numbers of the missing guns, so it will be interesting if one of them surfaces somewhere
