Default Holster 1915 1.s.R.R.

If it is of interest to anyone. I have had this one for some time and am posting it in case it is of interest for historical reasons.

A picture the front and the back and a letter with a note from John Walters as to the unit designation.

Interesting is the first 1910 dated Luger that is mentioned in John Walters letter.
Jan Still shows a 1910 dated DWM with number 3452c and unit mark B.l.M.K.D.57. in CENTRAL POWER PISTOLS: Both Lugers are listed on the 1914 dated Landau list.
Thanks for sharing.

Not sure where some of those numbers came from. Data recall from my memory blanks is often just that...blank.

I was a Company Commander at Fort Hood at the time and when I wrote to him I may have asked him about guns that friends of mine had, I had seen at a gun show or even something that perked my interest on one of the mailing lists I received at the time, World of Lugers, Simpson, or one of the people I had met along the way (Sarco and Drollenger come to mind). Wish I had picked up that no date commercial with the unit markings.... sigh..
