posting a "thank you"

Hi , my first post I have had replies and I cant seem to figure out how to thank their posts. I don't see the normal thumbs up sign only the quotes sign . What the heck did I do wrong this time?

I have been called a thankless SOB more than once , but I thought I was safe here. please help

I think the thumbs up is always there, but way off on the lower right corner.
It doesn't always show up on my computer screen, either.

Ed is absolutely right ... 'the thumbs up thank you' doesn't appear on posts you initiate.
Having said that I sometimes won't see it on members posts but if you restart it shows up again.

I appreciate your wanting to give thanks when someone posts something you like ... sadly not all members do.
