New Member 1940 Luger

Greetings Luger Forum,

New member here, I have a Mauser 42 code 1940 Luger. I picked this up at a local gunshop probably 6 or 7 years ago. I saw there was a resource for attempting to find original numbered magazines so I am gonna have to check into that thread, maybe I’ll get lucky!

I believe everything else to be matching on my pistol. It’s a nice shooter. Hope you enjoy the pictures and maybe can tell me more about the pistol. Thank you - Rich

Welcome!

You should dissemble (field strip) your P.08 to determine if it's all matching. Easy to do, lots of videos available. Be very careful when removing the grips, so you don't stress the wood and cause a chip.

Yes I have done this and it was all matching other than the magazine. Thank you - Rich

A nice looking pistil. If you shoot it, you might want to consider substituting some non matching parts for those that are susceptible to damage, keep those original ones safe !
