Default Question RE: Krieghoff~

What is meant by "23 Krieghoff"? I know next to nothing about Krieghoffs. Is it a commercial rework,or what?

Thanks! Ron

yes, would need to look it up, but krieghoff started in on lugers by reworking (as simson did) in the 1920's....

Ron, I agree with Ed that HK reworked many WW1 era PO8 during the Weimar period, but generally the M23 (DWM new production commericals in the 2000i to 8000i range) lugers that were MARKETED by HK will have their name stamped either on the left side or rear of frame above the lanyard loop. TH

Ed and Tom,

Thanks for the info. I have heard of Krieghoff P and S codes, but this one lost me. I am assuming that they are not as desirable as the others.

Ron, I don't know why anyone would value them any higher than what they are. Jerry Burney
