Default Less than 1 inch across!

Well, took a break from doing paperwork and look at how my new Luger shot!

Less than an inch across from side to side. Thor eat your heart out.

Thor, you do fire from less than 3 feet don't you?

Oh, well, for me it shot as good as any pistol I've ever had!

On a more serious note, I tried using all four magazines I have, all functions fine, except the oldest one (it usually functions the best in the arty where I borrowed it).

I did have several times where the case stuck in the throat, would that simply be where I should clean the throat really good, or is that an indication the extractor is working a bit off?

Overall, I am very pleased with my new shooter!

Ed

As you might have noticed the last target group I fired was 0.8" and at 20 yds but I think your group is even more impressive given the fact that so many are in the same hole! I can tell you for sure, I was damn lucky to accomplished what I did! Your Luger is INCREDIBLE! Looks like we have started a trend Ed, what ammo did you use? Good job! Thor

Default THREE HOLES

I count three holes. The mag holds 8 shots. Where are the other 5 holes?

Default wellllllll :(

All right, all right, either you are pulling my leg or i'm pulling yours.

I have a "normal" target with them spread over 10 inches, heh, heh and this one was for Thor, I am always kidding him off-line about his gunsmithing ability and shooting (with his BIG Thor hammer, heh, heh) and so I am afraid I was literally 2 - 3 feet away when I shot those 3 rounds. In the army I flucuated between marksman and expert, although it depended many times on how much practice I'd had the previous month on my 9mm or my own .45 (S&W M25) on how I shot.

So, the 6 incher shoots like a maniac, but maybe not as good as it appeared. So, either I'm bad at cracking a joke, or you guys are riding me and I'll bet Thor says that is just fine!

Anyway, I am using some Olympic 124 gr FMJ made in Greece (picked up a case for a good price) and today I will go out and pop some off that is 125 gr round nose lead and see how bad she chocks up! (One advantage to living in the country, I can go outside and shoot if I want).

so, if I was pulling too hard then.... sorry and if you were pulling, then that is okay too!

Ed

You guys are toooooo funny! I knew 66Mustang was "pushing my foot" (pulling my leg) and kidding about my "Lucky" shooting! I like sharing with people with a great sense of humor, makes life fun! (Sounds like a prank I WOULD have pulled myself.....or maybe I did) Thor

Default Re: Accuracy and Groups

I am reminded of the scene in "Lethal Weapon" when Mel Gibson takes his Beretta and fires a nice group in the shape of a smiley face to the tune of "da ta da da" (you had to see it) Not very realistic, but entertaining, worth it just to see the look on Murtaughs face, lol.

Thats what I use for my hunting rifle. If I have to shoot five times at a deer, I shouldn't be shooting at him in the first place!
