Default Need help with two guns

Ok I have found for sale two guns one is a

1939 S/42 all match but mag

other is a

1939/42 all match and mag

Both are for sale for $1195

Is the S/42 for 1939 a rare variation. The only thing I can find that might make it rare is according to The Gun Blue Book they stopped making them in april of 1939.

Any help here guys

Thanks,

Doug

They made 38,500 of the 1939 S/42

They made 85,500 of the 1939 42

I would say neither is rare, less of them, so harder to get a S/42 over a 42... Rarer would be the police variation of the S/42, only 600 were made...

Doug, the S/42 is more desirable. If they are in equal conition go for the S/42!! The matching magazine is nice, but...

So what do you guys think about the prices. They seem VERY reasonable to me. I would think these would normally be going for $200-$300 more.
