Default Question about mags.

I am going to a local gun show this weekend and I am looking to purchase a mag. for target shooting . The authentic mags. are too high $$$ for plinking - could anyone suggest a good reproduction ?

Thanks in advance !

MecGar mags ARE the best but you may want to check on line for the best price.

Also keep your eye out for a Haenel Schmeisser VoPo manufactured milled Luger magazine (with aluminum base). These cost more than Mecgar magazines, but generally are quite high precision and work well.

They will have the number 02/1001 on them.

Hmm, I thought I posted

Older mags, Erma, good but over $50
DDR are excellent but $65-$100
Mecgar you can buy on eBay for about $30
Swiss mags, excellent but $100+
Triple k are cheap, usually not the best

For ordinary shooting at the range I would only use brand new ones from MEC- GAR I think they cost about USD 42,00 so a lot more that a GLOCK magazine really, but to me they are the best idea if you want to shoot your LUGER.
Safe shooting.

They are produced in Europe, I would have guessed they'd be a bit less expensive there. If the equivalent of $42, the members across the Atlantic have my sympathy...that's more like what the speculators/hoarders/gougers ask on eBay here!
