Area Of Luger Collecting Interest ???
Share with others your primary interest in Luger collecting.
That is, is there a certain era or type or manufacturer of Luger you prefer to collect over the others ? Please review the ten (10) categories of Luger collecting emphasis that BEST describes your primary field of collecting. If you wish, the Poll is set up to allow more than one answer/selection if you focus your collecting in more than 1 primary area. (Sorry if the number of categories are only limited to 10 choices...but this is a limit of the Poll set-up feature on the Luger Forum...) Thanks in advance for your participation in the Poll ! |

Pete,
I realise that the poll is limited to 10 selections but none apply to me since I am not a collector. I buy guns to shoot them. Here is my vote. Shooters.

Weimar and Post-WWI are duplications. There's no category for Commercial (non-military).

Shadow, you can now vote Shooters.
Dwight, I made the era say Commercial Pete, I changed Simpson's to Simson's, as the other is a gun shop I triple voted, as I collect, pre-WW2, except for the WW2 I own |

Hmmm...pre-WWI Commercial would seem to fall into the category of Imperial Era...nicht wahr? Anyway, I lumped them together but I understand if we want to make a finer distinction.

Ron,
I was trying to get at the distinction of collecting commercial Lugers--of all eras--as opposed to collecting era-distinguished military Lugers. --Dwight |

I too, like the 3rd Reich pieces.....
I too, like the 3rd Reich pieces. Mauser in particular. And they need to be shot and not a 'safe queen'. I also have Mauser 98 rifles. Best bolt action in the world...Pappy P.S. Good work and thanks Pete and Ed.

I added the post-WW2, as I was covering all bases, as I thought what you wrote made sense. It allows me to add 2 items each time I change it, I have not seen a limit of what can be added, but each item I add, goes to the bottom of the list, I can not change the order...
Pete, anything you want reworded, I can change but it might affect how folks "feel" about what they chose... |
