The pin you are referring to only can come out by pushing from the right side of the toggle toward the left side. If it is a bit stiff, tap it out with a small wooden dowel.

Yes, you need a punch slightly smaller (metric) than 1/16" to drive the small pin out, I prefer to drive them down towards the inside. Then you drift the larger pin sideways right to left, these will sometimes fall out once the small vertical keeper pin is removed. The smaller pin may be damaged upon removal, they are really tight and small. Thor
