Default Site Map

Dok or JohnD, would it be possible to put a "Site Map" access above the Message Board? Or in the box where the counter is? That way all of us that have bad eyes (and can't see the whole menu) could go there to get all the features of the Lugerforum.

Default Maybe put the Links there too....

For the life of me, I cannot find where the links section of this site is. I would like to visit some of the Luger accessory/parts dealers and find some goodies for my 1918 Erfurt beauty, but cannot find the links page.

Thanks,

-SA

Default Screen Resolution for the forum is 800x600 minimum

To see all of the frame on the left side, including the all the links, your screen resolution must be set to 800x600 or higher. The Lugerforum pages are designed for that resolution at a minimum.

To do this on your PC, the sequence is:

START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > DISPLAY > SETTINGS TAB

and use the sliding bar about halfway down on the right to set the screen resolution to at least 800x600 and then press the OK button.

The higher the screen resolution, the better (sharper) the picture, but also the smaller the text...

If you can't see well what is presented at higher screen resolution, then get reading glasses you need them....

John:

The problem may not be simply the resolution.

Some of the people who complain about not being able to find all the "click On" buttons in the column on the left of the Message Board

May be failing to scroll down.

When I bring up the board on my screen, (I am 1024x768 ) I only get to see down to "half way" through the "links" icon.

It is sometimes hard to "grab ahold" of the column to scroll down. There IS no scroll bar.

It was a while before I even realized that this column COULD scroll down

John, I'm running 1024x768 resolution and the counter box cuts the Links & Resources item in half. (I can still get to it, but not below it.) I believe there are two more selections under that. Luger of the Month and Centerfold.

I could improve the readability of the left menu bar by setting my browser on "Small Fonts" but then EVERYTHING gets very difficult to read. So I just miss those couple of items. Dok sent me a list of all the links on the menu bar so I CAN get to them. I was just thinking that if that list could be accessed from the left menu bar (high enough up so it doesn't get covered by the counter box) then everybody, regardless of screen resolution, would have access to the entire site.

Just my .02 of musing.

renaissance, there doesn't seem to be any way I can scroll the left menu. What are you doing to make this happen? It would appear we are both seeing the same amount, I just can't scroll it!

Default OK, I'll try a link...

just above the Counter icon...

How's "Forum menu for blind people" as a title?

All kidding aside... I'll hook you up.

Default Reply from the sight challenged

Dok, that's great but can you get it up higher on the list? I noticed the counter box went down - if it comes back up it will cover up Luger Menu Links. But your sure on the right track! Thanks

Default You can't have everything!

The menu link will now force the counter box lower and possibly out of sight. So you need to decide which is more important to you. The counter box will not come up and override the menu link, so have no fear of that. But I'm getting tired of trying to please everybody.

Default How large is your monitor? I think you should be able to see

more than that... Are you using the browser maximized?

What size is your text set to in your browser? Larger than Medium?

What do you see when the browser is maximized?

John, the monitor is 17", Netscape is "full screen" and the type size change only effects the right hand side of the window.

Thanks for your concern but I can live with the shortcomings. (and I'm not blaming the Forum, Dok)

Sorry Dok, I wasn't "complaining" just thought I had a better idea. I understand what you must go through and think you do 130% when it comes to "trying" to please everybody. My blathering was more of an idea than a request and as usual you went 130% in trying to accomadate.

Just wanted you to know I didn't mean to make more work for you. You do a great job and are appreciated for ALL your efforts.

Again, sorry for the "carping".

Default I do have everything! :D

I run a 19 inch monitor at 1600 x 1200 and wear 1.50x reading glasses from the dollar store! I see it ALL!

I also get to use these to read and post on the Lugerforum.

Thanks for all your hard work Dok... We shall consider doubling your salary (one of these days!)
