questions about our Luger
#1819 g
all matching w/ wood grips marked 19

What is the g under the serial # mean...

I paid 700 said it came from Russian troop to america

The cursive letter "g" under the serial number is part of the serial number. It is called a suffix, and denotes the time frame of production.

I definitely agree that you did not over pay for that Luger. Have you shot it? Does it function correctly?

It's a bargain for that price, and for what can be seen from the photos it looks quite a nice Luger!
