Default What year is Ser.# 110097XX?

I just purchased a minty interarms Mauser luger and I was wondering if someone could tell me what year it was made?

Also, there is a chance that the gun has not been fired.

It has two magazines and the manual but no box or other accessories. I bought it as a non collectible shooter. If it has not been fired, how much of its value will diminish if I were to shoot it on occasion?

Hello Mike,
And welcome in the Mauser Parabellum owner club!

Now your pistol has been made in 1972.
I assume the your model is a 29/70 (close to the 06/29 Swiss model).

The pistol was sold with two magazines, one cleaning rod, the combinated tool, the user manual and the test target.

To have more information you can have a look at my web site:

and click on Mauser Parabellum Gallery.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Mauro

Mike,

Welcome to our forum. I wish that I could answer your question about value but I lack the expertise.

What I do know is that the Mauser Parabellum that I have shoots very well. If you do decide to shootit, you should be very pleased with it.
A 9mm is much cheaper to shoot than a .30cal.

Thank you Steve. I determined with the gunsmith that the Luger has been shot a few times. Now nothing stops me from enjoying shooting this fine handgun.

Cheers,

Mike

The ones I'm seeing in minty condition without box and accessories are generally priced at about $750. The extra mag should bring it up to about $800.
