1921 Weimer
Need to know what the unit marking means on my 1921 Weimer Army luger. Its marked on the front grip strap and the rear frame above the lanyard loop. ( 4./F.4.49. ) My book says the "F" stands for fureur or leader , Anybody know what it really means? Regards Dave Gill

Dave,
4./F.4.49 translates to Company 4 / Fahr - Abteilung (Driving Detachment) Battalion 4 weapon #49. A light vehicle driving detachment. Kraft-Fahr is a heavy vehicle or Truck Driving detachment. Ron
