Lange P 08 (Artillery luger) sight configurations
I mentioned these types on a previous thread.
Here are three 1917 dated pistols that represent three of the four sight combinations seen on the L P 08. The most familiar having two "fine tune" sights is in the center; the variation with fine tune rear and fixed front is above; the version with neither sight having the fine tune feature is below. If some one has the fourth variation of non fine tune rear and fine tune front please post it. I did a bad thing in getting the picture of these sights, I took all the artilleries out of the safe to wipe them down and find the ones I wanted. Below is a family portrait. There is one more, a navy marked variety but it lives with the other navy lugers. I think I my be addicted to these pistols, and I still "need" two more, a 1914 DWM and the fourth variety sight variant mentioned above!

Only two more? A likely story!

Yes,
just two. Well unless I find another Navy marked one, might make an exception for that. I do need to sell one, I have two shooters, only need one!

I'll be careful before I pay big bucks for a "real" one. Might have to go with a "restored" piece; or an ugly one. I almost bought a chrome plated on on auction earlier this year, but I dropped out of the bidding- it had been polished a lot before chrome plating.

Don, wow, what a collection of artillery lugers! I am impressed. Good fortune in landing those two additional ones.
Heck, I just would like to have one.
