Default Commercial Holsters

Closed flap commercial luger holsters, mostly American made. If anyone is interested in makers or closeups, just ask. Open top commercial luger holsters - mostly American. Info, etc., on request.

Bill,
A wonderful group of leathergoods! I really like the old closed flap commercials. I would love to find a nice "western" one in floral or basketweave. A "Tio" Sam Meyers would be super, but a Heiser wouldn't be bad either!

Very nice Bill, I love your collection!

I may have asked this before, but what is the secret to knowing when they are 'luger' holsters and not for something else?

i would not mind some older heiser or other type with some floral also, and can check ebay?

Ron
A few of these are Heisers. I picked up a Sam Meyers holster but it is for a police. Still have not found a SM luger holster. Bill

Ed
Many of these say luger on the back. Others show the distintive toggle/ safety marks from long luger use. Heiser typically wrote luger and barrel length in pencil on the back. Others are by holster number. All of these have packed lugers. Bill

Very nice, Bill. I have great admiration for collectors with tightly focussed collections. Is that a test holster at 6:30? Best regards, Norm

It is an El Paso reproduction made for right side carry. Opposite facing of a test holster. Not sure how focused I am. I also have an Audley collection and a 45 1911 collection. I just like leather. Bill

I really like your swivel Artillery luger holster in the center of your 2nd pic.Made in El Segundo CA. Very rare.Saw one for sale awhile back, didn't buy it. My mistake.
You are the "go to guy" for any vintage commercial holsters questions!

Thanks for sharing.

Bill
Thanks for the correction.

Here are a couple of pics of the Luger holster I saw.
Different holster and different place of manufacture.

So I was wrong twice.
At least both towns are near Los Angeles!

Interesting holster.Do you have one?

No I don't have this one. Looks good. Only thing wrong it's for a left handed person. I would be happy to own it. Bill
