Default Unusual Luger Barrel Extension

Hi,

There is a barrel extension for sale on GB, #263878697, that has two unusual cuts about where the knobs on the rear toggle would rest. I have never seen this before and wonder if anyone has any idea if this is original or did someone modify this part?

Looks like a modified part to me... not original...

I saw that too...odd.....my only thought was that the guy was making a sort of toggle lock/delayer by having the toggle knobs rest in those grooves.....dunno

Default The Photo

Here is the pic:

If you want more just go to GB and enter the item number in the search, but these photos tell the story...

My other theory? Maybe this receiver was unsafe for use in 9mm due to fire damage and was modified like this to be used for some type of home made sub-caliber device?

Maybe modified as a single shot for bullseye shooting or similar?

I've never seen one like this. I suspect some type of Bubba repair for bed head spacing or some other reason the toggle would not fully close. TH
