Default Help with 1942 Banner valuation

Hello, and thanks in advance for your assistance. I have one more Luger that I need right now so I'm interested in selling this one, but would like some help with knowing what it's worth (rather than what I paid for it). It's a 1942 Eagle/L Police Banner. The serial # is 6027 Y, and all of the numbers match except the (unnumbered) grips, and the magazine which is 6076 (1). This is less than 50 away, so it should be correct if not matching. This pistol one doesn't have the sear safety installed. It was drilled for one, but was never installed or subsequently removed. It was sold by a collector as an all original Luger. Overall, it is in very good condition and has a shiny bore.

If there are any additional questions I need to answer please let me know.

Please let me know what you think and a reasonable price to ask for it.

Sincerely,

Ray

these later police did not have sear safeties, drilled for them, but did not have them

a 1942 Mauser banner police is not common, also less people looking for one.

I would guess $2400-$2800 ? and if as original and nice as it looks, I would think top end and a bit more IMO
