Hi JM,
Is this your gun ? Do you have more photos you can post ? There was a P-59 posted in this HK section on the Luger Forum back in 2-11-2006. Do you know the serial number of the gun in your photos ? |

JM, welcome to the forum... As a first post, you gave us no information?
Is it yours? Did you see it? Do you have a real name? Are you asking a question? showing off? sharing? ???? ed

This gun is in europe.
It is to share pictures of an unusual Krieghoff, and to determine type and value. I will try to have more accurate pictures in a few days. Thank you for your help |

P-59 is now with its new Arizonan owner who is extremely particular and elated with Mr 59. He also purchased from me an FN framed P 38. and a beautiful Eagle F PP.

Hi JM,
Your English is very good! But the pictures are better!! In short - from the photographs above - while I *might* have a few issues left unanswered - the HK above looks like it is probably correct. These issues are: Take-down lever - your picture is only fair. I am looking for the correct polishing marks, which I can not see in your pictures; Internal pictures. These are not present, so I do not know if the internals are correct as marked; Polishing on toggle links. Appears correct from the pictures? TL Stamp looks correct as well - but again - only first hand inspection woud tell..? OK - so *if* it is verified - what would it be worth? In that barrel length in the represented condition - it would sell for approximately $15,000 - $20,000 US. However - that is if it is all "correct" in straw/blue - and the internals are correctly stamped for an Early "P Code". Only a personal inspection by a noted collector could determine those, however (there are some pretty great fakes of "P-Code" Krieghoffs I've seen..!!) From these few pictures - I'm more inclined to say yours is not a fake - but again, I can't say it isn't until your HK is verified by a collector who knows Krieghoffs and also knows what to look for.. Since you are in France - and I am in the USA - that person probably would not be me!! John D. |

Hello John
Many thanks for your answer On the following messages, you will find detailed pictures. The magazine number doesn't match Is there any other hidden marking ? Thank you for your opinion Best regards Jean |

Merci, Jean!
John |

Hi Ed,
Sorry about the delayed reply - yesterday was a killer - and I get to do it all again as SeptemberFest is in full swing today as well... Anyway, yes... If the HK above is verfied (as noted a few posts ago - it certainly appears as correct, except for the mag as Jean mentions. However, that aspect is made up for given the condition. Verified first series P Codes have been jumping in price over the last years - and the last one I'm aware of in that configuration went for $13500 - in lesser condition... Makes you wonder which is a better investment - the stock market or Lugers Best to you! John D. |

Babel Fish translation of one of John D's. posting :
" Thank you, Jean! The images show the place exactly that I want to see. Your Krieghoff looks at being correct, of what the images show. Thank you for poster images! By what I see - it is splendid! I will still say - I believe, really - that 15,000 - 20,000 US is a correct price on your HK. It is not a problem with the magazine - it is typical with the "P Codes". There is becooup the types which arrivee with the HK "commercials" - and, this type, it is "daccord" (I do not know the French word) for in. Also - it is a variation premiere in "P" codes. I wish that I could look at your luger.... Thank you another time, Jean. It is very good... John " |
