Post California Gun Control

Another reason why you can't be a Democrat and a gun owner.

With Gov. Davis signing everything he can to keep the support of liberals, he will probably sign this one. This came from the NRA site.

SB 489 has just reached the Governors desk! SB 489 seeks to ban the retail sale of semi-automatic pistols that do not incorporate state-mandated design features and warning language or symbols. SB 489 does not technically define these devices, and there is currently no clear understanding of exactly what will be required of firearm manufacturers. This bill will force untested technology to be adopted into the design of firearms, creating many safety concerns, and may increase the number of firearm accidents.
