Default WMP magazine

I'm new to the world of lugers, just got a 37 P08. Who made wmp magazines and are they worth having?

A seller has a couple of luger magazines made by wmp. Never heard of them. Was curious as to the quality and performance of them.

never heard of them, you have a link?

personally, I think most aftermarket stink - mec-gar are some of the best, but will cost around $50 - cheaper and you get what you pay for

OK, this is one of the same ones I found in my earlier search. I still don't see "wmp" anywhere. Maybe I'm blind....?

Most find that period magazines (particularly the Haenel Schmeisser made ones "FXO" marked) work better. These are welded and machined rather than folded steel.

I went through this same drill. Apparently they're made in Italy. *shrug*

I'm also interested to learn if there is a good quality new repro luger mag available, since both my MecGar & KKK mags are on back order. Hopefully, these are not the same poor repros that I had to return to CDNN, that were advertised as "original factory mags". Whose factory? Tom

Tom,

CDNN listing of Factory OEM mags are Stoeger Luger Mags. I own 3 of them, and they function in my Lugers, but perhaps not in everyones Lugers. One mag was slightly oversize and needed "tuning". Their QC is a bit lacking, but they function for me.

Actually, probably low priority. With the massive sales of firearms since our wonderful president was elected (sarcasm), the manufacturers are probably trying to keep up with demand by focusing on high volume products. Same goes for ammo...the rare and odd calibers are being put on the back burner to keep up with the demand for common calibers.
