It's a Luger navy, but of course it has quite rare features.

I have a chance to buy it, but I don't know if it's a piece of great value, or it's a low-value piece.

What do you think?

The owner has never fired, but I think with that spotlight, the impacts will probably go very high.
It's very strange that this gun came out of the factory like this, but it doesn't seem to have undergone any subsequent modifications.
It's very well preserved.

This Frankenluger hurts my eyes and offends my Navy sensibilities. You can't exactly call it a fake, because it bears no semblance to any actual Navy Luger.

I did well on my own and just took a few pictures of the gun.

That's exactly what I thought... if I bought this luger in the future, I would try to get a 6" barrel and it would be a better recomposition


It wouldn't be original, but "at least" would look more like the right thing to do.

But, in Spain it is extremely difficult to import a barrel, and replace it.

I don,t know, i,m a new Luger owner, but I like this particular gun even if it,s a mongrel of parts and epochs.

Coming from a background of building custom motorcycles, bobbers, choppers- frequently a mixture of parts, it,s very difficult to be a purist collector. You simply look at aesthetics of proportions, silhouette and function.

Perhaps somebody tried to build a ‘hotrod’ of a Luger, but it,s a shame if they try to pass it for a specific authentic gun.

Herr Werle is playing around with firearms based on Luger mechanics, some of his Frankenstein creations might be considered ugly.. but damn if he is not having a good time....

If I had more Luger parts, perhaps I would create some chopped up cool functional ‘monstrosity ‘

if you will go to the bottom of our thread/topical listings, you will find a category of "want to buy"...members are constantly looking for a part or assembly with no regard of a matching number....then there are those who are always looking for a particular number on a part for their effort to build an original luger "all matching numbers"....when they are marketed as an "original, all matching Numbers" built by the parts buyer, they have totally misrepresented the weapon being sold.....an older weapon is highly unlikely to be an original all-matching weapon after being 75-100 years old...

enjoy the presentation in your possession...it is likely the closest you will ever own of the luger you would really like to own.....Tom
