Re: Mauser Parabellum P08 w/o safety grips
Looks nice. From the picture it's hard to tell, is front grip strap straight? Like the Swiis, or like the P08?

Mauro,
Thanks for the picture of the great looking Luger. Appears to be built to Swiss specifications? Luke |

Re: Mauser Parabellum P08 w/o safety grips
As you can see in the new picture, it is a P08. Note that the front grip strap is not straight and also the barrel is fat and 4". These pistols in .30 luger were made in the same period of 250 commemorative P08 but are in .30Luger not in 9mm. That is the only one I see in this configuration. I think this pistol is quite rare.
Let me know what you think. Ciao Mauro http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/P08aaa.jpg |

Luger-Gun Laws In Itailia...?
Mauro,
Looks like you have a very nice, rare Mauser. Thanks for the photos. By the way, how easy is it for a person to own and shoot lugers (and other guns) in Italy ? |

Re: Luger-Gun Laws In Itailia...?
Dear Pete,
in Italy is not easy to buy and shoot with Luger and in general with other guns. It is necessary to have a lot of authorisations. In addition the 9mm caliber is forbidden therefore the luger in 9mm are reworked in 9*21. So only the Luger in 7.65 are collectible. In any case, when all authorisations (in other words a lot of time and money) are available it is possible to have a collection. Ciao Mauro |
