Default Mag repair question

I was out at the range yesterday and had a problem with one of my mags. The wood bottom split leaving part of the wood still pinned. The larger part that came off has the s/n. Would anyone have any ideas if epoxy would fix this or know someone who fixes this type of problem? Thanks, Brent B.

Brent, I have tried various types of epoxy with little success. Generally this wood id oiled and will not take to glue easily.
GT out of Phoenix or Hugh Clark, a grip and wood expert could probably give better advice or fix your broken wood bottom.
Here is a good lesson for the rest of us..If you are going to shoot, don't use a period mag. Use a mec-gar or a Haenel Schmeisser extruded with an aluminum bottom.
Beats ruining a hundred dollar original. Good luck! Jerry Burney

Jerry: Thanks for the reply. I know GT and will send him an email if he doesn't see this post. Yes, I did learn a lesson and I'm glad I have a few of the after market mags. Brent B.
