Thank you very much for this posting and information. Most likely I would have missed it otherwise...which would have been a terrible shame. I served with Moore in VietNam after the battle at Ia Drang, and again after Vietnam when he commanded the base at Fort Ord, CA. To know him at all was to know the quintessential army officer and commander. The IA DRANG BATTLE WILL LIVE FOREVER IN THE FOLKLORE OF THE 1ST CAV division and especially of the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry.
