Electrolosis rust removal first in a solution of 50% Pine Sol, and THEN bead blaster --- and yes they would have easily lived on another 75 years... based on what I see in the photo. What a shame...

I found, in my travels thru life, that usually, , one has used up most all of the "stupidity," available in their environment, by 30 years old?
After that, some hard cases, continue on thru life, using the "stupidity" they brought along with them! Sadly, you can't fix stupid… and so it goes.... best to all, til...lat'r….GT.... |

... now to pinpoint the location and take my metal detector to the REST of the berm... But how to get them back? People are digging up the detritus of WWII all over Europe from the low countries to Germany and Russia in bunkers. But I always wince when they bring up fused mines and grenades, as I wonder if the safety pins have rusted thru or they are still armed as they rub the mud off - just a little rust removed and...
