This Luger lanyard is now posted on ebay. Looks interesting.

As interesting as you might find it..it is no Luger lanyard. No more so than any other equiptment strap or piece of twine.

Anything could be used as a lanyard and often was ...such as bread bag straps. But to call this amalgamation of straps, buckle and hooks a Luger lanyard is a far stretch in my opinion.

The German Lanyard for most pistols was made of round leather up untill the P-38 lanyard in WW2.

I can't say where this seller got information that this scrap of junk is a Luger lanyard or that there is anyone fool enough to pay 500 bucks for it but he is seriously deranged. It would take quite a story to convince me...

Oh, well. Since bread bag straps were used as improvised lanyards during WW1....

But for $500 ?

My lanyards are as close to originals as you are likely to get. I currently have just 2 in stock. I only make a dozen or so a year. $105.00 shipped.
I am sure if you search on this site for lanyards many photo's will appear.

I bought one of Jerry's Lanyards, and I can safely say, that it is best close repro lanyard you can get.
