Post U.S. Luger Holster, circa 1900's, Ex.

Don't see this very often. The style is purely 'murkun.

[quote] An early, circa 1900's, and very rare Western style holster for the Luger pistol, probably an American Eagle. This holster is the Western "Border Loop" style. The front of the holster is stamped "V.L.&A./CHICAGO", markings for Von Lengerke & Antoine, who were well known firearms/sporting goods dealers in the late 1800's, early 1900's. They specialized in importing the newest German firearms for the American market and were acquired by Abercrombie & Fitch in 1928. There is a number stamped on the back of the holster, "17", probably for the model of the holster.
This holster was made for a 4 3/4" barrel Luger of either 1900 or 1906 model, and most probably the American Eagle.

The holster is in excellent original condition with a few minor scuffs and very minor back edge crackling of the polished surface. The holster has seen very little use and would be an outstanding item to accompany an American Eagle Luger.
