1921 DWM Police Navy rework. Odd
I posted some picâ??s of this gun on the old forum, but thanks to Jeff Noll's book I think I figured it out. It is unit marked to a Sea Battalion and I am guessing started life as a 1906 Navy long frame. Was then reworked and had the whole upper cannon replaced. They milled out the "gesichert" that was originally stamped on the down position. It has the sear safety and is drilled for the mag safety, but it has been removed and the notch plugged. The odd thing is that the upper is for a short frame as it sits recessed. The gun is Weimar proofed the barrel is proofed but un-numbered. I bought the gun on Ebay a few years ago it came with two matching aluminum bottomed mags. Mag #1 a blued body while #2 is a nickeled body they are both star burst K marked.
