I am not really shocked by your lack of formality or knowledge, either. I am Scottish, and am quite aware that there are only 3 surviving Luger pistols in the world. The first lies with the remains of the Titanic. I have many associates at the Dew-Drop-Inn who are quite expert on the subject at hand. It is proven through photo documentation and transcripts that the second priceless (i.e. $50000) heirloom and historic artifact (Luger) is in the possession of the very dignified, formal, and proper lady, HelenWheels (a.k.a. Helen Rainbow-Durhamm), who has taken extended vacation, traveling extensively on the world wide web, for benefit of her health, which was adversely affected from the shock of the very near loss of her priceless artifact, to a bunch of rowdies guised as antiquities and FAQ advisors at antiqueguns dot com.

Whilst on the subject of $50,000 Lugers...

Many years ago I had the pleasure of holding a $50K Luger. It was a presentation piece, full coverage engraving and gold inlay over platinum plating - full provenance from presentation to the (then) present owner. It was an impressive piece.

It appears she has a genuine North Sea military luger from 1939. If un-monkeyed, it is worth up to $1800 with wide variance in value depending on details. Either she is extremely fearful she will be tricked or she is a prankster and probably not even a she-just pulling a stunt.

Either way, if she had experts to consult, she would not have sent an email message out to strangers on the internet. She would simply consult her experts--something is not right.

Hi All,

Since Mr. Wes talked about the only 3 surviving Lugers in existence in the world and only mentioned the whereabouts of two of them, I feel compelled to all members of this board to reveal the details of the third one!!

I have it. And it's not worth merely $50000. No sir. I had it appraised by my uncle's brother's half sister's neighbour for at least 1.3 trillion dollars (canadian $ that is..)which would bring it down to about $75000 US.

This source confirmed beyond any doubt (from archive pictures and sworn statements obtained from experts around the trailer park) that THIS Luger was the one Hitler used to commit suicide.

Gentlemen, THIS IS the ONE and only.

PS if anyone is interested in buying this unique piece of history, I would probably let it go for..mmm...say $125 or will trade for a good hunting dog and a fine bottle of Jack Daniel.

Tac, I truly hate to burst your bubble but your Seven Dwarf Lugers are clearly FAKES! Probably boosted by an evil elf who kissed the Blarney Stone too often.

How can I be so sure that your guns are fakes? Easy.... I own the real Seven Dwarf Parabellums. Each is engraved with the name of the Dwarf to whom it was presented. (I also have it on good authority that "Dopey" wasn't called that because he was addlepated. It was because he was usually stoned!) Anyway, I purchased these wee examples of the Luger from a Reputable Flea Market Dealer by the name of One-Eyed Louie.

Ol' "One-Eye" - a real stand-up guy if ever there was one - assured me that the Lugers are genuine and even though they have Erfurt toggle trains and Mauser frames, the numbers all match! They're all dated within four or five years of each other too. I couldn't believe my good fortune in acquiring these guns and each has a certificate of authenticity signed in blood by the Dwarf to whom it belonged. How can anyone doubt that mine are genuine and yours are fakes? I just hate to be the one to tell you. Hope you're not upset.

I guess you can only do this kind of dreaming now since your beloved firearms are gone or deactivated. I'm sure we all feel for you. It really sounds ominous here lately with all the media (and anti-gunner) attention attracted by the beltway sniper. Hope they get him soon and hope he is not home grown.
