$2700 1914 Luger

Can someone please tell me what I am missing here. In what universe is this plain old 1914 DWM worth more than $1400 tops?

It has replacement unnumbered grips and the straw is mostly almost all gone.

How about the "desirable Prussian Eagle"? All the WWI Lugers I've seen have this mark.

The markings are military yet it has GERMANY on the side. It's obviously not a commercial luger.

Honestly I could see the price with the low serial # and condition, but the GERMANY stamp and lack of a matching numbered mag would have me saving for something more defined.

The gun is very nice , barrel like new and Bölher stamped , but the price a littel hight for me ...

I'm definitely not feeling the love on that one either. And note that the "buyer" has no bid history. The whole thing sort of stinks. Commercial mag, export marked, etc.
This is the exact reason that I disregard "rare" markings that supposedly drive up value.
