Default 100 gr LSWC

Has anyone used the 100gr lead semi wad cutter for the 30 cal luger????????? .312. Just picked up a 1000 of the .311 LRN for the 30cal Luger. Will load this week and hopefully hit the range Sat. Will give report. I've been using .3095 LRN 90gr and they work OK. But I need a .001 to .002 over to be correct for lead cast. The .309+ 90gr was all I could find at the time. Using 5.5 of SR4756 for the 90 gr. Shoots pretty good. My eye's are not what they use to be and the site's on the DWM 1925 Luger are pretty small. Use to my target site's and red dot on the 45's................ Also what is the OAL you're using, Thanks for any input!!!!!

Hi:

I'd sure like to get a look at that 100 grain 7.65 SWC you have there!

RN, OAL 1.173 inches or (29.8mm)

Truncated Cone, OAL 1.14 inches or (29mm)

By the way, these are the original DWM factory OALs.

SR 4756 should be great in the 7.65 Parabellum

I've never tried semi-wadcutters in a P.08 but had no trouble with them in a Steyr 1912. I've had excellent results with NEI 85.308GC (a truncated bullet) in the Luger.

Default 100 gr LRN

Tried to load the 84gr .311 LRN bullets and they will not feed because of second groove on bullet. They get hung up on feed ramp. Sent back and traded for the 32/LSWC. Hope these will work. I will try the OAL of 1.14 and see if they feed. If anyone has experience with LSWC what was your OAL??????Thanks for any input!!!!! This is for a 1925 DWM 30 Cal Luger. LRN at 1.173 works perfect!

Default .312 lswc

Gardner's Cache web site. I finally traded my other ones in. .12 cents a bullet now, still cheap. The OAL that I came up with for dummy loads feed in and eject by hand with the .312 is 1.0875. Crimp at the second ring above the purple ring. Feeds and ejects perfect by hand.........the range will tell..........more to follow. and Yes it is a 32 bullet. My barrel slugs at .3095. A DWM 1925 does not have the best barrel. I am use to looking down custom 45 barrels. This pistol is in excellent condition except the inside of the barrel has pits and the grooves are wone alittle. Corrisive ammo. The .3095 LRN I was using was OK>>>>> But I think that with the extra .002 it will grab the rifling better for better accuracy. Also in my middle 50's and the site's on one of these are the smallest V site I've ever seen. But then they were made for point and shoot, not target shooting. Also to carry. I will use the same 5.5 of SR 4756 I was using. I do not think that will be to much. With the 90gr it was fine and pretty accurate......NO over pressure good feeling ejection with that load and crack of the shot. I tried the 1.14 and it would hang up on the feed ramp, the top ring was exposed.

Interesting...One man operation; only takes orders for 2 hours every couple of weeks...$35 for 500 100gr .312" SWC...Sold in boxes of 500...

Too many for me... I'd never shoot even 250 in my R&G revolver...
