1929 swiss lugers for sale
Im on the AK files and someone posts classic firearms got in just under 40 swiss lugers that will be going up for sale in a few days. On my phone, I cant link the video, but they are going to post them up tomorrow for a preview and they will email to let people know what day and time they will go up for sale. Non price was given but there are different prices depending on plastic grip, bake light grip, holster etc. I may get on the email list but probably cant afford one. Jim

Seems like an odd place to sell a bunch of Swiss Lugers.
Now I see - they're actually at Classic Firearms - https://www.classicfirearms.com/vide...r-1929-pistols Look like nice guns - some have older Swiss holsters No guarantee for matching numbers... but many match. Swell. Count is now in the low 30s... makes you wonder if the best have been cherry-picked. |

they are not selling them as matching numbers - import marked and not guaranteed to be matching... most likely are, but????
holsters for swiss are still cheap, so I would not factor that into a buy unless it was somehow matched to the gun. I would love if some were early, but they all look like the later style? very expensive so price is high will be interesting to see, I asked them to send me the listing, although I have been a member for many years. |

I called to let them know how fragile the Canvesite grips are on the red ones. Also let them know about which version holsters go with the 1929 W+F Lugers that they have.
SOG brought some of these in a few months ago. From what I remember they were priced in the $1800 range, and were nice like these. I wonder what the thing is about unmatched parts... It would be very unusual for the Swiss to have a mismatch in inventory...

Given the "we sell them by the truckload" nature of the operation, I wonder if they would be able to accurately judge if numbers match or not...

These sold well in Europe for years as they were on the Belgian exemption list for quite a while. This meant no license required to buy them. Nowadays they are permit only guns so prices dropped and the market collapsed. I bougt a few Swiss lugers from a dealer who didn't know where to sell them anymore.
No surprise that these now show up in the US. |
