The pistol looks great, and the holster looks almost too good to be true. Where was this rig kept for the last 69 years?

There is a lot of extra material sticking out on the sewn-on magazine pouch, something that I'd like to hear Jerry weigh in on. Like John says, the holster almost looks too good to be true. Can we see some inside and rear angle photos?
And isn't it unusual for there to not be a bore diameter stamping on the barrel? (I have nothing newer than 1937 handy to check.)
A very nice looking rig, to be sure.

Hi David, Mauser stopped applying the bore measurement in mid 1942.

Sweet looking Mauser rig! Condition throughout looks in concert, all appears in very, very good shape. Threaded grips, so original? We are curious as to the seller's asking price!

The gun is simply gorgeous!
To me it's a bit too good to be true, probably rebuffed.

Nothing wrong with that one, has just the right amount of wear in the right places.

Very nice rig, it doesn't get any better than that. Just plain pretty, nice find you have there.

Not to good to be true! I have seen even better. Just a plain old original and great condition 42! (And Don't worry about the naysayers that always appear on a high condition gun thread. Just a part of posting a gun on the internet it seems.)

It would be very difficult to upgrade this rig. You have done well.
