Interarms P-08
Interarms Luger at the Wheeling Cabela's...
So, I was at my local Cabela's last week and saw an Interarms Luger in the gun library for only $600. Since I didn't really have a lot of time and didn't know about them (I own a Simson Luger), I moved on. After going home and doing some research, I thought that was a great price, but didn't get back up there until yesterday and it was gone (not surprising!). Did someone here buy it? |

Cabella's has a reputation for offering mostly over-priced guns, but also occasionally under-pricing occasional guns to result in some real bargains--if not steals. (It reminds me of a friend's experience at the local Salvation Army thrift store. Among the worn-out jeans for $20, and the like, was a baseball signed by Babe Ruth for 50 cents.) The consensus is that they, like any other gun dealer or smith, have little experience Lugers, let alone expertise. Whoever acquired it is indeed most fortunate, and enviable!

I have gotten a few good deals at Cabela's, actually... A Walther P1 and an Interarms Walther PPK. They had 2 PPKs and the other was the Smith and Wesson version with the god-awful beavertail! I was able to get them to knock the prices down a little and then use my 5% military (retired) discount. They have since disallowed the military discount on firearms and firearm-related products, but you can always get them to come down a little.
