Red face Ammo info seeked......

<img border="0" alt="[offtopic]" title="" src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" />

Hello all,

In between hunting trips.....with a broken computer.....and totally OFF TOPIC but if someone could help on this........( Any Big Bore rifle entusiasts here ?? )

I need some info about some old ammunition I have.....Anyone familiar with ``Tropical Packaging`` of biggies like Rigby's 416 stuff ??
I have various boxes( metal sealed with lead soldering on corners ) which I cannot precisely ID.
They have no markings except cal. & bullet type stamped on the outside. Dimensions are to a perfect fit for 4 boxes of Original 416 ammo.....

Other batch I have ( a small hole allows seeing inside the metal sealed box ) indicates 12 Ga ammo.......

I am trying to establish production date & exact contents ( what else !! ) as they are sealed & I wont open them ( I have ``shooting`` ammo for those ). Research I made in the various books ( Ruark, Taylor, Boddington, etc ) doesnt gives much aside from stating these ``Tropical Ammo Boxes`` as shipped to Africa & India......

If someone knows......or can direct me to the appropriate Website to get info, it would be greatly appreciated......( As usual, I have photos of those.....)

Thanks to all,

MARK
