military unit # info wanted

I am looking for info on a number that is stamped on a PO8 made in 08. The number is 116.R.5.2. If you know what it stands for or where it might be issued to please email me. Thankyou.

Although very very few P08s were made in 1908, the 116.R.5.2 is a familiar unit marking associated with infantry regiments. This one appears to indicate the 116th infantry regiment, 5th company, second gun. This might be an imperial unit or a Weimar unit though many Weimar markings have a slash between the unit number and unit type mark.
